Why is this Subject Taboo?
After After reading the story "Why is this Subject Taboo", I had some mixed feelings on it. While trying to keep the business aspect in mind, it was hard thinking of what to write in that sense. I could write alot about the article, not in a business aspect, but what does business have to do with it, so I had to reread it a few times to try and get the racism and predjudice I felt that came with it. It talks about other cultures that should be aknowledges and celebrated, and yes I agree they should be but why our Aboriginal people always fighting the answer is because of everything that had been taken from us, these other cultures might not have that, when do you here of other heritages having things taken? I never heard of any sort. Yes we all live in Canada and should get along but at the same time they should not be taking and still trying to take things from us like land and so forth. We need to work together expecially in a business sense, but why does it sometimes take longer for a native to get say...permits or some kind of document needed when starting a business, and you can talk to a non-native and they can recieve it weeks before, hassle free? Is the government afraid of natives making money? Getting ahead? Getting away from what they think of reserves being nothing but drunks and drug addicts? Well this is only my view on things, had alot of mixed views on this article.

It is a hard article to read and I had to read it three times to understand what I thought it was saying.
